Type: Online bi-weekly unrated rapid tournaments hosted by the BC Junior Chess Association on lichess.org.
Date: Sunday, April 12th, 2026, 10am - 2pm. Biweekly thereafter.
Entry Fee: $10
Format & Time Control: Swiss System (5 rounds) -10 minutes + 5 seconds increment
Timetable:
Round 1 - 10:00am
Round 2 - 10:45am
Round 3 - 11:30am
Round 4 - 12:15pm
Round 5 - 1:00pm
Awards:
25% of Entry Fees are allocated towards the Prize Fund.

Registration & Payment

Please fill out the Google Form with all relevant information, and then send an e-transfer to bcjrchess@gmail.com for 10$.

Please then join the lichess team.

You will receive an e-mail the day before the event with a tournament link and a join code. Please join that tournament using the lichess account mentioned in the registration form.
Refunds

Refunds will be provided up to a week before the tournament. No refunds thereafter.
Byes
-
½-point byes are allowed only for the 1st round. All future byes for following rounds will be 0-point byes. If you are the odd one out in any given round, you will be given a 1-point bye which will count towards your final standing.
Fair Play

Players are not allowed to use engines, outside help, or any form of external assistance during their game under any circumstances.

Violation of the Fair Play Policy can lead to a potential ban from future tournaments and lichess.org account closure.
