Tournaments
We regularly host around 2 CFC Quick-rated rapid tournaments every year for K-12 students in the Greater Vancouver region of British Columbia.

Our mission is to increase the accessibility of chess tournaments for youth in BC. We have low registration fees, trophies for different age groups, and cash prizes.
BC High School Chess Championship
Every year, we hold a chess championship for high schools across BC. Past championships have seen 37 schools participating in 9 districts across the lower mainland of BC and Vancouver Island.

Schools can send a team of 5 players with additional substitutes. We hold a Qualifier tournament in each district, and the winning team plays in the Provincial tournament, where the winner is crowned.

After-School Chess
The After-school Chess Program connects local high schools with elementary schools, involving over 30 volunteer instructors, 8 lead instructors, and more than 150 students across 6 elementary schools in Greater Vancouver. Lead instructors design student-led lessons, providing both high school and elementary students with the opportunity to learn new skills and actively participate in the chess community.
Fundraisers
To finance our mission, we occasionally hold Krispy Kreme fundraisers to cover the costs of our organization. Costs include venue rentals, chess sets, equipment, awards, and administrative costs.
